‘Family Guy’ ‘Empire Strikes Back’ parody trailer
After its “Star Wars” parody generated huge ratings and sold well as a stand-alone DVD, 20th TV decided to release the “Family Guy” “Empire Strikes Back” spoof (titled “Something Something Something Dark Side”) on home video before it airs on Fox (presumably using some internal value of ratings spike vs. DVD profits calculator).
