A gang of yobs could face jail after taunting swans and trying to steal an egg in Chester - Chester Chronicle
YOBS who taunted swans on Chester canal before trying to steal their eggs for fun could face years behind bars for their cruel actions.
In the early hours of Saturday morning police were called to the bank of the canal near Tower Wharf in Chester after a concerned member of the public spotted a gang of teenagers taunting nesting swans.
The teenage yobs were seen tormenting and luring the birds away from the nest while one of the group reached in and stole an egg before being confronted by a passerby and forced to put the egg back as the gang fled from the scene.
